Music: Juno Minimal Weekly Podcast.

This 'service' started in November from the Juno Records store and is updated at least once a week. Its a real nice way to listen to some of Juno's favourite minimal releases of that week, and occasionally slightly older tracks.  This weeks edition opened with Maurizio's classic 'M5' for example.  Each episode lasts around an hour and has tracklisting embedded in the info of the podcast, as well as spoken over the mix in a very quick and unobtrusive manner.  Click on the link to subscribe through iTunes.

News: Beatport 4.0 released on January 21st.

This is Beatport's own blurb on their upcoming Beatport 4.0 release.

On Wednesday 21st January the long-awaited Beatport 4.0 will launch.   In this final unveiling of the site there are over 50 enhancements that include some of the most popular user-requested features.  These include embedded artwork, enhanced preview quality (48k to 96k), docking capabilities for playlists and My Beatport, RSS feeds to every page on Beatport, deeplinks, keyboard commands and content filters.

The power is back in your hands.

Check a sneak peek trailer video of the new Beatport and watch a tutorial of the new features here.

To sum up, the newly remastered Beatport 4.0 will include features and functionality that engages all five senses.

The first highlighted sense offers the ability to hear more music with an enhanced music player.

Next, there are new tools to satisfy any DJ’s taste for good music through increased ease of navigation, with new and powerful filters to find DJ mixes and recently added content.

DJs can engage their sense of smell by sniffing out the latest and hottest tracks through dramatically improved filtering of favorite labels and artists.

And finally, one of the most requested features from our users is now a reality: the Hold Bin, where you can see and hold your “maybe” tracks for purchase at a later date.
